There are a few news items to start with then I'll explain what I meant by "crazy".
First: The "Independence From Big Pharma" sales is about 24 hours from ending as I write this. Check out the details by clicking here. It ends on July 12th.
Second: A recent interview that I did with a long time electro-therapy researcher is now posted on this page. He has a great story with lots of useful info that you'll find useful for your health is posted on this page.
What I did this weekend wasn't really that crazy but usually I ponder decisions like this for longer than but it just made sense. I was at an energy conference and bought a Solar Hot Water heater eventhough I live in cloudy Eugene Oregon! They are working great here even with the clouds.
Skip down to the health interview lower on this page if you don't care about this...
I mention the solar hot water heater because it is really cool new technology and while I normally write only about health when stuff like this comes up I find myself compelled to share the info.
This technology really rocks - and they are coming down in price. Right now I'm not even going to mention anything about where I got it because there is no website or place to order it (so what's the point, right).
Sometimes I meet people at various energy conferences and in this case he had a trailer full of these units so I got one and when I have it installed I'll let you know how it goes. They are so fragile that it is hard and very costly just to ship them and they are made in old television tube factories in china!
This is really cool because they don't have to set-up any infrastructure and it prevents these factories from getting shut down.
These solar converter tubes are 80% efficient from what I am hearing and this really seems to be accurate. They collect heat in a long vacuum tube with a copper tube inside that contains alcohol. The copper tube is a closed system which evaporates the alcohol building pressure and bringing the heat to the top of the tube. In a nutshell the heat collects in a mass of copper where the water flows through - the water doesn't even contact the tubes.
When these are readily accessible and I can send you to a reliable source for them at something near the cost that I paid I'll let you know.
Combining this with a Vortex Water softener in a sunny climate will cut costs on water heater useage massively. The Vortex units are on sale for until Wednesday July 12th and you can follow this link for info.
